○ Re-add the total for all of the uncleared checks and other withdrawals in your
residual check register.
○ Re-do the balance arithmetic in your residual check register, since the last time
your checking account was balanced, to verify that the current ending balance in
your residual check register is correct.
● Review the bank or credit union's statement to see if there are:
○ any charges, such as new checks or monthly fees, that were overlooked and have
not been entered in PerNetFlow, or
○ fraudulent entries that you do not recognize and/or did not authorize (contact your
bank or credit union immediately).
● Compare the deposit, check and other withdrawal amounts listed on the bank or credit
union statement with the corresponding item amounts in the cashflow space's transaction
register to see if there are any disagreements.
If you cannot find any errors that explain the imbalance, you can ask your bank or credit union
for help.
Force a balance - Clicking on the Balance button will display the amount of money that will be
either added or subtracted from the Unallocated ledger to force a balance. You may prefer this
option when the out of balance amount is minimal.
