A Better Way to Manage Your Everyday Money - Book - Page 80
Setting your allowance aside
As you will see in Chapter 9, you set up your allowance for a weekday and in an amount of your
choice. PerNetFlow calculates and schedules the setting aside of your future allowance to your
Allowance ledger when you pay bills.
Getting your allowance
Each week on the weekday you chose, you get your allowance by removing the money from
your checking account and updating the Allowance ledger with the Get Allowance dialog box.
The ways you withdraw the full amount of your weekly allowance from your checking account
could include:
● Writing and cashing a check
● Transferring your allowance online to another checking account with which you use a
debit card (this transfer could be set up with your bank or credit union to happen
automatically)
● Withdrawing your allowance from an ATM
● Making a withdrawal from a teller at your bank or credit union
How you give yourself your weekly allowance is up to you. The important part is that your
weekly allowance is totally withdrawn so that your spending money for the week is not
commingled with the cash in your cashflow checking account.
